It’s not just a doll, it’s a whole world of fantasy. And Fairfield University Bookstore got the chance to play host Saturday afternoon to the introduction of the latest American Girl.
Grace came to town this weekend — a modern American Girl with a flair for cooking and a love of all things Parisian — and a party and get-together at the bookstore drew over 100 girls and their dolls.
“I love it,” Ariana Johnston, 7, of Fairfield, said of the store party. “I like looking at the American Girl dolls books here and I like reading and it’s really, really awesome here.”
“Any girl can relate to American Girl,” said her mom, Rebecca Johnston.
“The bookstore was actually chosen by American Girl,” said Nancy Quinn, special events coordinator, who noted that Grace was “a modern American Girl who travels to Paris a lot.”
