Emily Parker is a humanitarian and development professional with over 14 years of experience working across the Middle East and Africa. She has built a diverse career spanning humanitarian assistance, development, and peacebuilding, serving as an implementer, researcher, evaluator, connector, and capacity builder in fragile and transitioning contexts. Emily began her regional engagement as a journalist based in Tunisia during the 2011 transitions and has since led humanitarian policy and programming initiatives in West Africa, conducted research and program learning documentation in Somalia, and managed monitoring and evaluation (M&E) efforts related to the Syria crisis and disaster risk reduction (DRR) programming in Kenya. Across these roles, her work has focused on documenting regional change while strengthening the knowledge systems and capacities of those driving it. A skilled Arabic speaker and experienced field practitioner, Emily has extensive experience working in high-risk and complex environments throughout MENA, West Africa, and East Africa.
